2025 Annual Meeting

On November 21, let’s move the needle on diabetes.

Diabetes is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States. Twelve percent of Hoosiers have the disease. The burden is significant, and the problems are complex. But Indiana has a rich history of innovation in diabetes treatments, from Eli Lilly pioneering the commercial production of insulin in 1923 to groundbreaking research on new drugs, innovative technologies, and other interventions at the state’s premier research institutions.

We will celebrate and advance this legacy at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Indiana CTSI. The theme is “Moving the Needle: Treating Diabetes Together.”

During the meeting, we will be honored to present the 2025 August M. Watanabe Prize in Translational Research to Kevan Herold, MD, C.N.H. Long Professor of Immunobiology and of Medicine (Endocrinology) at Yale School of Medicine.

Changes at this year’s meeting

This year, attendees will experience the same collegiality, richness of discussion, and deep-dive into the complexities of translational research that have come to expect from the the Indiana CTSI Annual Meeting.

But, in response to your feedback, we are also making some changes. We’ve added some new features, and also let some things go, in order to ensure you get the most of the meeting.

  • We’re prioritizing face-to-face, in-person attendance. A video recording of Dr. Herold’s keynote address will be available after the event for those who can’t make it. Parking vouchers are available for attendees who do not have an EM parking pass for IU Indianapolis.
  • There is no poster session this year.
  • There is no CME credit available this year. Eligible faculty can explore other continuing education opportunities on IU’s website for Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions.
  • You asked for more networking time, and so we’re providing it! By making a few cuts, and streamlining our agenda, we have more time to socialize and network. Please join us at the end of the day for our first-ever post-meeting reception!
